STEM Events for K–5 Students & Families

Our hands-on STEM events are specially designed for students in grades K–5, offering an exciting and educational experience for the whole family. Each event features six unique activity stations, each with two guided sessions that introduce students to concepts in science, technology, and engineering through fun, interactive projects.

Upon arrival, students choose an activity and participate in a session with the guidance of a trained instructor. After the first session concludes, they rotate to a second activity of their choice, allowing them to explore different areas of interest.

What makes our events truly special is that students are accompanied by their parents or guardians, creating a meaningful opportunity for families to learn, build, and discover together. At a time when loneliness and social isolation are rising concerns across the country, our events offer a welcoming space for families to connect, communicate, and create lasting memories together. It’s not only a fun night out—it’s a chance to spark curiosity, strengthen family bonds, and inspire the next generation of innovators.

Please find below the types of activities that students and families
can expect at the STEM event.

Tinkerlab

From powering race cars with stored energy and experimenting with structural design, students engage in hands-on learning that’s both fun and educational. Best of all, they get to keep their creations and proudly showcase them to family and friends.

Magnet Magic

Magnet Magic is a fun and fascinating activity where kids explore the invisible forces of magnets! Through hands-on experiments, children will discover how magnets attract and repel, what materials are magnetic, and how magnetic fields work. They'll get to test different objects, create simple magnetic games, and even build their own magnetic inventions. This activity sparks curiosity about science and encourages problem-solving as kids see the power of magnetism in action all around them.

Eco Discovery

Students will create educational nature-themed products and craft kits designed to deepen their knowledge of the natural world. Our hands-on materials and creative projects actively involve students in learning, making the experience both enlightening and enjoyable.

Machine Assemblers

Engage your students with the Machine Assemblers activity, where they become real machine builders. This hands-on experience allows students to design and assemble their own devices using comprehensive kits that include motors, wires, and various components. Through this activity, students explore fundamental engineering concepts, develop problem-solving skills, and unleash their creativity as they build moving vehicles.

Electronics

In this hands-on activity, kids learn the basics of how electricity flows through components like LEDs, batteries, micro-vibrators, solar panels, and motors to build simple, fun projects. Through experimenting with circuits and programmable blocks, children discover key concepts such as voltage, current, and resistance, while developing problem-solving and creativity skills.

Sky Explorers

Sky Explorers is an engaging, hands-on activity designed to help students investigate the science of flight by piloting drones. Through this lesson, students explore fundamental concepts such as lift, thrust, drag, and gravity, and observe how these forces interact to enable flight. As students practice steering, hovering, and navigating challenges, they gain practical experience with aerodynamics and flight control, deepening their understanding of real-world science and engineering principles.
